Have you ever tried listening to a stone?

One day, I held a stone in my hand and felt it holding me back. It's not mystical - it's matter. It shaped my fingers, gave me form, as if teaching me who I was.

Sometimes I wish I were a stone, just to stop trying to understand everything.

Being a stone is never apologising for taking up space. It's having memory without remembering. It's being present even when no one looks, has no urgency.

And what if, in the end, God is a stone? Not the altar stone, nor the one thrown, but a quiet stone in the middle of the path, waiting for someone to truly see it.

But there is one in me.

And maybe that's what saves me.
